Brooklyn-based Epaulet recently released a clean pair of trainers as a part of their Los Angeles line which consists of everyday basics like t-shirts, jeans, jackets, and sneakers. The Epaulet Los Angeles Sport Trainer is inspired by athletic shoes issues to the West German army in the ’70’s. This updated reinterpretation maintains the clean lines, slim shape, and minimal design while incorporating present day high-end materials.
These gems are built on top of a German-made single-unit rubber sole foundation. The shoe’s sleek profile is handmade in Portugal leveraging supple full-grain Italian leather from the esteemed Gruppo Mastrotto tannery. This particular colorway matches the white calfskin with grey suede as a nod to the original.
You can find the Epaulet Los Angeles Sports Trainer in White Calfskin/Grey Suede and a Ghost Calfskin version via Epauletnewyork.com. Both retail for $225.00 USD and sizes are going fast so jump on this now if you plan on copping a pair.
