Music: David Wilson & Tame Impala Share Official Video For “Let It Happen”

Tame Impala may not only have the record of the year but also video of the year with the new visual for “Let It Happen.” Director David Wilson, who handled video duty for Tame Impala in the past in addition to Royal Blood and Arctic Monkeys, was tapped once again to take on the challenge. The innovative concept features a businessman on the verge of the afterlife post-breakdown in an airport. He finds himself shifting through dramatic (sometimes downright nightmarish) unrealities while questioning whether or not it’s all a dream.

Wilson first listened to the tune on a flight, which is you will see, plays into his treatment. The dream sequences were inspired by the work of legendary director Terry Gilliam’s “Brazil,” while the overall concept ties directly to the ongoing human struggle to understand life and deal with it’s pressures.

Tame Impala‘s new album “Currents” is out now in all forms. It’s pretty damn good, so pick it up if you haven’t already done so.
