Calvin Harris - I’m Not Alone
March 4th, 2009
After a bit of a drought, there have been a slew of fantastic new tunes hitting our inbox in the past few weeks! Calvin Harris has a new full length coming our way soon. The first single ‘I’m Not Alone’ is getting massive support on Radio 1. Deservedly so. This is a bit of a departure from his previous production work but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. We are predicting this one will be one of the biggest singles of 2009. Forthcoming release will include remixes by Deadmau5 and Hervé. There are a number of blogs that have posted a version of this tune but its not the final mix. Check it out though and take a look at the video below to get a feel for how big this is going to be.

News Alert! Daft Punk Reported to Score TR2N
March 4th, 2009
Via Billboard:
Daft Punk, the French electronica duo known for their robot personas, have been tapped by Walt Disney Pictures to compose the score for “TR2N”, an update of the studio’s 1982 science fiction classic “Tron”, Billboard has confirmed.
The film, currently in production, is tentatively scheduled for a 2011 release.
The “TR2N” score marks Daft Punk’s first foray into the studio since 2005’s “Human After All.” After an extended hiatus, the duo reemerged in 2007 for an extensive world tour, spawning the Grammy-wining live set “Alive 2007.” The group’s 2001 track “Harder Better Faster Stronger” was adapted by Kanye West for his single “Stronger,” and the pair appeared on the 2008 Grammy Awards with the rapper.
The musicians, Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter split their time between Paris and Los Angeles, where they have have assembled a new recording studio for the TR2N project.
Sneak peek from Comic Con of the first trailer for the film. This is going to be big!

March 3rd, 2009DJ Die - Autumn (Commix Remix)
March 1st, 2009
DJ Die’s records played a big role in our love for drum & bass. The fact that he grew up on a skateboard and to this day laces up the trainers and jumps on a deck makes it even harder to find a reason not to like the guy. Here is an interview to give you a bit of background should you not be familiar with his work.
After producing a slew of the legendary V Recordings best releases and winning a Mercury Music Prize with Roni Size and the Reprazent crew he started his own label CLEAR SKYZ RECORDINGS. Fellow drum & bass dons Commix did a nice rub of one of our favorite Die tunes called ‘Autumn’ from the V Recordings days.
