Ok….ok…We know there are a ton of remixes of Pjanoo bouncing around but this one stands out from the rest. High Contrast on remix duties, giving Eric Prydz’s original a kick in the ass with some Drum & Bass flavor. Nicely done.

Is there anything musically that these guys don’t do well? Pure CD-J mastery. Don’t pass up an opportunity to see 2manydjs/Soulwax live if they come to your town. Its special.
Cheers to Glenjamn for sharing these!

XLR8R TV continues to impress with their series of interviews. Episode 69 is particularly interesting. Drop the Lime/Curses! (Luca Venezia) has an interesting story. Topics include growing up in New York, gospel choir, Chicago house, and jazz guitar. Intrigued? The reigning “heavy bass champion” music gives us a look inside.

Treasure Fingers was kind enough to give us the heads up on the recent official release of “Cross The Dancefloor” on Fool’s Gold Records with remixes from Curses!, Laidback Luke, Chromeo, and Lifelike. You can pick it up at iTunes, Beatport, Juno, and Turntable Lab. The pre-release has been a staple for us for some time now but this newly mixed and mastered version is top notch. We got the thumbs up to post the Lifelike remix which is excellent. He is on a plane as we speak to Australia for a short stint of DJ gigs. If you are out in that part of the world, make sure you go support. Enjoy the freebie and make sure you buy the full release!

Once again, thank you to the good folks at FABRICLIVE for their continued support and supply of music. This week they have Tayo, Skream, Buraka Som Sistema, Toddla T, and Brighton’s Mumdance in one room to pound on some ear drums.
Here are a couple of recent remixes from Mumdance to give you an idea of what you are in for!
Math Class - Branches (Mumdance Remix)
Pop Levi - Dita Dimon (Mumdance & High Rankin Remix)

A couple of new remixes of older tunes. “Flat Beat” is just one of those tracks that you can’t resist bobbing your head too (electronic music fan or not). A Mr. Oizo classic with Birmingham, Alabama’s Computer Club on the remix. The second is another big record from a few years back. “Fix Up, Look Sharp” put Dizzee Rascal on the map here in the US while already established in the UK. Mick Matias is a producer coming out of Australia whom delivered the goods on the remix. I am sure many DJ’s will be dropping these in the coming months.
